Mansoor Al yahbouni al Dhaheri, better known as Mr. Mansoor Al Dhaheri, is one of the most accomplished and prolific storytellers from the UAE. As the Chief Executive Officer of Film Gate Productions and Al Kalema Productions, his critically acclaimed movies, TV shows, and advertising campaigns have earned distinction and praise from the entertainment industry in the Middle East.
With a seasoned career of delivering some of the most recognized content to be produced out of Abu Dhabi, Mr. Mansoor has shown that imagination may be boundless, but the power of will generates results. His filmography spans over a decade displaying progression in excellence. He stands as a visionary producer, director, writer, and, most notably, philanthropist.
Mr. Mansoor’s intuition has always kept his home of Abu Dhabi close to his heart. His dream of turning Abu Dhabi into a state-of-the-art filmmaking powerhouse on a global scale is believed to be slowly turning into a reality as many have claimed. Whether it’s his Hollywood motion pictures such as “The Misfits” (2021) or his community awareness-inspired TV series (the first of its kind) “People of Determination” (2022), Mr. Mansoor has proven to many that anything is possible.
His films have been screened at the Dubai International Film Festival, Gulf Film Festival, Abu Dubai Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Festival, and Cannes…only to name a few. Two of his films, Al Biet Metwahid (Unified Home) (2013) and Sarab.net (Mirage.net) (2012), were nominated for the Muhr Emirati Award at the Dubai International Film Festival for 2 consecutive years. His documentary ‘Little Sparta’ (2016) was again nominated for the Dubai International Film Festival. The same film won ‘Best Documentary’ at the NICE International Film Festival (2017) in France. Little Sparta was also shortlisted by the committee that qualifies films for the Academy Awards representing UAE for the 2018 Oscars.
These are just a few of his memorable accomplishments to date. Upholding his confidence in the bright future ahead, Mr. Mansoor aims to put Abu Dhabi on the map for being the epicenter of filmmaking for all.
